Metropolitan UMC is committed to helping those whom we believe will be future leaders in the Church and the community.
2024 Scholarships
The following changes will be enforced by the Metropolitan United Methodist Church Centennial Scholarship Committee, pertaining to the submission of scholarship documents:
1) The deadline for submission for 2024 Centennial Scholarship applicants is May 3, 2024..
2) The application, including the 250 word essay, and additional supporting documentation, must be submitted via USPS with a postmark deadline of May 3, 2024.
To insure that we are aware of entries submitted via USPS, we ask that you send an email confirming the date that your application was placed in the mail. This confirmation should be sent to serving@metroumc.org. If we do not receive your USPS submitted application by May 3, 2024 but have received your email confirmation, we will follow up with you to obtain copies of the documentation that was mailed.
3) Official transcripts, FROM THE SCHOOL ONLY, can be submitted via email. Hard Copy transcripts are preferred. Transcripts received from the candidate will not be accepted.
4) Admissions acceptance letters must be received on official school leaderhead, only.
CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
All STUDENTS WHO ARE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF A UNITED METHODIST CHURCH are eligible to apply for a CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
Please read the requirements on the Centennial Scholarship application and fulfill the required documents by the
DEADLINE – May 3, 2024.

McPheeters Scholarship – The McPheeters student scholarship was established in 1961 as a memorial to former Senior Pastor Chester A. McPheeters.Two scholarships are available to active Metropolitan UMC students.
The application uses the Centennial Scholarship application package, but with two important differences.Recipients must be an active member of Metropolitan UMC and have a GPA of 2.8.
